For this project we watched a video on the Guerilla Girls who were a group of artists who shared their complaints through their artwork. We took inspiration from their artwork and made our own complaint piece. My complaint was the fact that all of our time has to be put into schoolwork and that as high-schoolers we don't have enough time for our hobbies such as sports and art. In my piece you see a scale in front of a clock that is measuring the time spent on each of the activities being weighed and you can see that the books are portrayed as heavier than the other activities. For this piece i used watercolor because i thought that it would be great for showing value and i ran into trouble when it came to the clock color but by adding more water i was able to fix it a little bit. The artistic behaviors that i used during this project were creating original art, communicating, developing skill(in watercolor), and solving problems.
Never Seen, Never Will For this piece we had to create artwork of something that we have never seen and will never seen. For mine I painted the bottom of the ocean. And while there are quite a few people who have seen it I know that I never will. At least not with this many animals around me. It was really fun to do because I don't paint very often because I'm not good at it but I got to take risks and try it out.
