When constructing slab pottery, first you need to get the clay. You need to make sure that the texture is right and that it has enough elasticity to sculpt. When you're finished constructing it, you have to leave it over night to dry. When it's leather hard you can start shaving the edges and making the overall appearance smoother. You cannot glaze it while it's still greenware otherwise the glaze will crack. When it is bone dry you put it in the kiln. When it is out of the kiln it will be what is called bisque, and then you can glaze it. When you're finished glazing it you put it in the kiln again and when it comes out you have your finished piece!
